#1 Do the Whale watching in Mirissa


Whale watching is one of the best things to do in Mirissa when the sea is calm from November to April. Tourists are excited to watch the Blue Whale very closely. This coming December vacation is also ideal to visit Sri Lanka for watching the Blue Whales the biggest animal in the world. #2 Do the Safari in Yala

Tourists can hire Tuk-Tuk, Cycles, and Scooters to go around and explore more ancient places in the Sigiriya at budgeted prices. Families with younger kids can be involved in hiking the Sigiriya rock but small kids can also be carried and it is not very difficult to do this hiking.



#4 Do White Water Rafting

The Kelani river falls from Adam's Peak and Kithulgala is the best place to do white water rafting with adventures in the river. Tourists can engage in this activity by spending five hours in the Kelani river. Kids above 10 years old can participate to do this activity with their families.

Sri Lanka is a paradise for scuba divers. The best wreck diving place in Sri Lanka is the Colombo wreck ranging in depth from 98ft to 187ft (30 to 57m). Beautiful reef sites are also can be discovered around Colombo, such as Taprobane Reefs and the wonderful Gorgonian Gardens. The best snorkeling beach is in Beruwala.  The Divers can watch thousands of spectacular tropical fish species with brilliant coral reefs. There are lot of myriad of weird and amazing aquamarine plants and creatures. The Swami Rock (Taprobane Reef) Trincomalee, Gorgonian Gardens Colombo, Navy Island Trincomalee, Bull Dog Reef, Barracuda Reef Colombo, Great Basses Reef, The Second and Third Reef Negombo, and Cargo Wreck are also other spots where Divers can enjoy their diving life.



#7 Do the  Kandy Esala (Dalada) Perahara Watching



The Kandy Esala Sri Dalada Perahara is held in July and August in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The Sacred Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha which is housed at the Sri Dalada Maligawa Temple is valued and proudly honored by celebrating this event in July and August every year. The Esala Perehara is a wonderful event organized and celebrated by mainly Buddhist people. Tourists come to Kandy to watch this colourful event. It is very amazing to watch Whip Crackers at the forefront which signifies the approach of the Perahera, Flag Bearers, Fire Ball Dancers, Drummers, Trumpet Players, Traditional Dancers, Kandyan Dancers, and Elephant Parades with 10 to 12 colourful dressed Elephants.
